What kind of consumables are to be used?
- DNA-free pipette tips with filters
are obligated to avoid carryover contamination during DNA preparation.
- Also,
DNA-free 1.5 and 2.0 ml polypropylene tubes, as long as not supplied with
MolYsis™ kits, should be used.
- Many manufacturers of plastic consumables
guarantee the absence of human DNA. However, only a few suppliers test for the absence
of microbial DNA. We have made a good experience using Biosphere® plus pipette
tips and plastic vials (Sarstedt, Germany).
- For the automation, the SelectNA™plus instrument, the DNA-free “Pipette
tips SelectNA™plus” (Molzym order no.
D-925-024/048/096) must be used.
