Can QIAGEN PowerBead solution/tubes be used with MolYsis™?
No, the QIAGEN Powerbead solution (incl. pre-filled Powerbead Tubes) cannot be used with MolYsis™-based kits since the solution contains a compound initiating cell lysis.
Please note:
For any MolYsis™-based kits the microbial cells need to be intact!
